FAQ

Where do I download Redirect Content Manager?

Install it from the WordPress.org plugin directory. Search for Redirect Content Manager in Plugins → Add New, or visit the plugin page on WordPress.org.

Does this plugin create redirects?

No. Redirect Content Manager monitors redirects from your existing redirect plugin. Create and edit rules in Redirection, Rank Math, or your preferred tool.

Does it work with Ahrefs exports?

Yes. Upload an Ahrefs CSV from Site Audit → Redirects (3xx redirect report). The importer reads URL, Redirect URL, and HTTP status code. Run Scan Everything afterward to reconcile with live redirect rules.

Will redirected pages disappear from my sitemap automatically?

Yes, when Automatically exclude active 301 redirects from XML sitemaps is enabled in Settings. The plugin checks live redirect rules when Yoast or another supported SEO plugin builds the sitemap.

Is the source code public on GitHub?

Not yet. Distribution is through WordPress.org. A public GitHub mirror may be published later; until then WordPress.org is the official download channel.

Is data sent to external servers?

No. Everything runs locally on your WordPress installation. No tracking, telemetry, or external API calls.
